How Imagine2 pricing works
Imagine2 uses AI image generation credits so the cost of a request remains visible before you submit it. One 1K output uses five credits, one 2K output uses seven, and each uploaded reference adds one credit. The workspace updates the estimate as you change resolution, output count, or references.
These prices describe the Imagine2 service, not official pricing from xAI or another model provider. They also cover more than a raw model request: private upload handling, result storage, ownership checks, failed-output refunds, and the browser workflow used to save, download, remix, and delete completed work.

Expiration and refunds
Monthly-plan credits last 31 days and one-time pack credits last 365 days. Complete technical failures are refunded automatically. When a multi-output request stores only part of the requested result, credits for the missing outputs are returned. A delivered result remains billable when it is technically valid but does not match a subjective preference, so start with fewer outputs while refining a direction.
Choose a plan by workflow
Free credits are enough to test a small 1K request without a card. Monthly plans suit repeated creative work and renew with a fresh balance. Credit packs suit occasional projects and do not create a subscription. There is no unlimited plan because each generated image has a real processing cost. Review the estimated charge in the workspace before every generation.
